Safeguard Honored as Bronze Stevie® Award Winner in Two Highly Acclaimed Categories
15th Annual American Business Awards Highlight Safeguard’s D-News as ‘Best Newsletter Print Publication’ and BAM Team as ‘Support Team of the Year’

DALLAS, TX – Safeguard Business Systems, a subsidiary of the Deluxe Corporation and the provider of products, services and expertise designed to help businesses across North America grow, has been honored in two separate categories by one of the world’s premier business awards. Safeguard was named the winner of two bronze level Stevie® Awards in the “Best Newsletter or House Print Publication” and “Support Team of the Year” categories. The recognitions, announced on May 2, 2017, will be presented at the 15th Annual Stevie American Business Awards Gala in New York City.

The honors were earned based on Safeguard’s unique positioning in two distinct areas: its corporate newsletter and its Business Acquisitions and Mergers (BAM) Team.

Safeguard’s D-News (Distributor News) company newsletter offers unique insight into the printing and promotional brand. It is sent to corporate employees and to the brand’s network of more than 275 distributors, and not only provides a support system for sharing best practices but also serves as a tangible example of the latest printing advances, as it is printed in hard copy form utilizing state of the art methods employed by many of the distributors it reaches.

Safeguard’s second Stevie honor was awarded to the brand’s BAM team under the category of “Support Team of the Year.” The Safeguard BAM team continues to provide merger, acquisition, divestiture and coaching services to the Safeguard distributor network in support of acquisitive growth opportunities. The team’s more than 100 years of collective experience in the franchising and M&A markets has helped the group complete over 150 strategic transactions since 2008. The unique support structure presented by the Safeguard BAM team has been referred to as “trend-setting,” and helped the BAM Team earn the industry’s first Dealmaker of Year Award in 2014, presented by Franchise Times ® magazine.
